How We Should Celebrate The 4th
Hey you with that BBQ in your hands…what are you doing? Have you lost your natural mind…yes, yes you have. I’m about to say some un-American sh*t so get ready. When I’m done you can tell me to go back to Africa if I don’t like it here, and I will reply, “First, I’m planning on it. Second, unless you’re Native American, go the **** back to where you came from too.”
Most non-white people don’t celebrate white holidays the same as white people (and the 4th of July is definitely a white holiday since everyone else living in America in 1776 was getting royally screwed by white people in one way or another…so why any of us celebrate the independence of slave owners is beyond me). We just use these days as excuses to get off work and get together with family and friends. This is a cop out but understandable; and we still end up supporting the same BS we should be fighting. Like most things in America, it comes down to us all enriching irresponsible corporations and being irresponsible consumers. So this is how I suggest you celebrate this “Independence Day” and really any holiday that isn’t meant for us. - Fast and do not buy any food…actually, don’t buy anything, self control. Put down the burger fat boy…back away from the table, slowly…slowly…let me see your hands! If your hungry a** can’t go one day without eating, try to get something from a Black-owned establishment.
- Do not travel. Gas is high anyway, save your money. If you want to see your family…video chat.
- Work. If your job isn’t open and you can’t do anything to make money, volunteer with a local non-profit organization and make this one big day of service so we can work towards our independence because we definitely don’t have it yet.
- Read. Our ignorance causes us to do dumb things and respond improperly to various situations (watching the BET awards, celebrating stupid holidays, letting our kids go to a school system that is meant to destroy their minds, vote for people just because they’re Black but don’t really do anything to help Black people, support ignorant entertainers, etc). Read a book and maybe you won’t keep doing and saying dumb things.
The reasons behind all these suggestions should be fairly obvious. If not, you need a lot more help than I can offer in one blog post, but stick with us kid, we’ll get you right. Just start with our reading list and sign up for our Revolutionary Daily Thoughts in the meantime. If we don’t have the will or discipline to take these simple steps towards independence, we don’t deserve independence.

American is our home. Most have no intention of leaving the USA to move to Africa, and you know this! Let’s be real here!
Africans are trying to come here! When they do come here, most do very well! They do better coming here than we would ever do going to Africa, so again, let’s be real here!
Believe me, if most want to go back to Africa they would have done so by now. Many talk that talk, but when it comes to doing, they ain’t going!
Our ancestors suffered long and hard labor. They suffered through Jim Crow, and they kept on going! We should be doing the same thing because like it or not AMERICA is our home!
However there is a segment of us that are a disgrace to our ancestors, and these are the ones we can no longer afford.

I like your suggestions. But I do think we need to get some things straight.
Black folks don’t vote for someone just because they’re black. Ask Michael Steele. Though, I have known of white folks voting someone just because they’re white. For that one, you can ask among the black Dem nominees for local elections.
That’s not to say that every black elected official is doing their best for the community. But let’s not sell our community short.
As for going back to Africa – those who’d want to go should go. But me? I have ancestors who’ve sweated and died here. They’re buried here. And not all of them are African. At least one was an Irish merchant store owner. . . . Now, I know this country belongs to Amerindians. And I think the right thing to do is abide by the treaties signed centuries ago – the ones Amerindians willingly agreed to, that is. Other than that, I’m staying.
Leave if you think it’ll help Africa. But leaving just for the hell of it won’t help anything here.
Lastly, I think we all agree that there’s a segment of our population whom we can’t afford. But let’s be honest – they’re not the real problem. Racism is. Not only is racism the real problem, it’s the reason some of us are any problem. Changing ourselves without challenging the status quo, that’s not going to get us anywere, either.
excuse me but i think most of yall really missed the point. frederick douglass himself said “what to the slave is the fourth of july?” before you comment on this post, read that speech! it shouldn’t be hard to find. with that said, africa actually has nothing to do with this post. the fourth of july represents white peoples independence from their own oppression. they celebrated it at the same time you we where their slaves. all that “im an american, i was born here blah blah blah,” meant ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the racist white people that enslaved our people at this time and you celebrating it is literally equivalent to the jews celebrating the birthdate of hitler. black people get your mind right and learn to celebrate and appreciate our own identity. AFrica is not only the essential part of that identity, it is the FOUNDATION of the identity of the entire world and every man/woman/child in it!

This problem is the problem of the Globalist Agenda, which has placed a blank of ignorance on the world so thick we cant even see, and dont even know WHO or WHAT it is that we are really fighting against. Bottom line. every major incident and conflict that has happened in the world since at least the late 1600s has been directly controlled by a very selective “institution” of individuals who have manipulated us all for the sake of their own Agenda. this is a truth i can personally substantiate. therefore colonialism, racism, classism, communism, socialism, and capitalism are all tools they have USED against the common people, to disunite, misinform, divide and conquer, in order to bring it all together under their direct rule and control. period people. we are all children of god and enemies of Gods enemies, who would like to see us all burn in hell with them.
What makes America so great is that you can be unknown and start not only a business from an idea, but that you can also start a “religion”, get paid and call your self a patriotic christian and with enough followers and fools it’ll work because this is A-miracle, I mean A-merica.

Africa is my grand mother and haiti is my mother…I love them both equally…I celebrate none of them white ppl holidays, I stay away from them cause our history says it’s not ours to celebrate…
