This isn’t about whether one is required to do something…it is about what you SHOULD be moved to do. If we don’t take care of our elders who will…especially one who gave unconditionally when there was not millions or billions of potential monetary gain. True lovers of the CULTURE NOT COMMODITY of HIPHOP would acknowledge this man’s gift to anyone who claims to be an artist in this genre. Money is not real, it is a piece of paper which we believe has value, but is merely a means of trade…but that’s another story. Health, culture and community are real and more important than any market value. I hope those who appreciate it, can remember when radio didn’t play rap music and have profited from it(i.e. KRS ONE, RUN DMC) will be creating some type of beneficial events to assist the Godfather of HIPHOP.

I think this post is dumb and I find it offensive. Say what you will, but if you were in dire straits it would be up to you to figure out your next moves. Charity and donations are a man’s prerogative and right not his obligation. Furthermore, Diddy and even to an extent Rozay are people to be admired and emulated (when it comes to revenue stream diversification) Hip Hop/music are first and foremost a means of supporting oneself for the artist and are a tool for reaching others SECOND.Your reaction to their commodity(art) is your own, but do not for a moment delude yourself into thinking that music and other forms of expression aren’t a commodity first. Success or Failure of a product is predicated simply by market desire, not by being real or not. Clown.
