Knowledge Drop

Dr. Asa Hilliard (RIU) drops knowledge bombs all over this one. There are 5 other interesting videos in this series that you may want to watch, but this is by far the most powerful.

Knowledge Drop: The most powerful force in finance

Most people don’t know what compound interest is, and even fewer know about the Rule of 72.  This is why saving your money is critical to your financial future and why, as compulsive/conspicuous consumers, Black people in America have made no significant economic progress relative to other ethnic groups since Reconstruction.  Compound interest is your […]

Daily Knowledge Drop: Were Ancient Egyptians Black?

Daily Knowledge Drop brought to you by: http://www.dangerousnegro.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=DPKMSS The controversy regarding the race of the residents of ancient Kemet (Egypt) aka the “pyramid builders” still exists, but only in the minds of those who are uninformed or whose racial prejudices prevent them from accepting the truth.  Another failing of our educational systems.  Racism has played, […]

African Constitutional Law (origin of real Democracy)

from The Destruction of Black Civilization by Chancellor Williams Some Political Theories and Principles of Ancient African Constitution Law (Drawn from African Traditional Constitutional and Customary Laws.  Different versions and modifications of the same laws occurred in different societies.) I. The People are the first and final source of all power. II. The rights of […]

Tyler Perry: Cunning or Cooning?

Nobody in Hollywood can hold a candle to Tyler Perry’s meteoric rise to stardom in the last decade. From niche market gospel plays to Black blockbuster bravado, Perry is the American Dream realized – a rags to riches phenomenon. Despite Tyler Perry’s cinematic and syndicated success, anchored in applying Christian family values to modern day strife, there are those who choose to label the brother a sell-out.

What The Murder of Derrion Albert Says About America

You’ve seen it by now. The whole world has seen the carnage that ensued amidst the brawl that resulted in Derrion Albert losing his life. Shock, astonishment, and tearful resentment filled your psyche as you watched Black youth try their best to destroy each other on a Chicago street corner.

Constructing The Blueprint for Black Male Success

Prior to September 12th 2009, had someone told me the blueprint for Black male success would arise from the state of Iowa I would have labeled them mentally deficient. Invited to share my expertise on the topic “The New Grinding: Expanding Your Consciousness as Your Life’s Work,” I was nonetheless excited to impart the merits of entrepreneurship to a group that seldom receives this message. It mattered not that this Fall retreat, titled “What’s Stopping Us Now?”, was being hosted for an assemblage of less than 50 students. I was eager to participate in The Hubbard Group’s revolutionary approach to fostering a sense of Black collegiate community.

The Politics of Machine Gun Machismo

AR – 15s were designed for the US military to quickly and accurately strike enemy forces on the battlefield. This lightweight machine gun’s sole intent is to kill. Despite these facts, radical 2nd Amendment enthusiasts find it acceptable to suddenly exhibit their gun “rights” in opposition to Obama’s healthcare proposal. This is very odd considering that healthcare has absolutely nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment. So what is the deeper message being conveyed by these fanatical pistol pushing partisans? Upon closer examination of their actions, it is apparent that they are fighting to uphold White supremacy and social inequality.

Say It Aint So…..

People Bringing Assault Weapons to Obama Forums… Wouldn’t Have Been Allowed To Happen With Bush Wassup DangerousNegros, I know I been away for a minute but back to business, and the first order is this silent assassination being planned against our President. Feel me now, simple mathematics says “this + this = that”…… Now, with […]

Death of Auto-Coon: The Movement

Negative images of Black culture in the media has finally pushed us over the edge. We’re fed up with the stupidity and ignorance. How much longer will we allow corporations to force feed the general public images of Negroes that do nothing more than degrade our race? While we do not feel there should be one monolithic thought process that persists in the Black Community, we feel the intelligence, sophistication, and ingenuity of our people should be broadcast for the World to see.

Dr Boyce: Three Dumb Things about “Reverse Discrimination”

by Dr. Boyce Watkins Most of us heard about the recent Supreme Court decision involving “reverse discrimination” against white firefighers. The case has been used to undermine President Obama’s nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. It also seems to prove that the establishment is correct and those of us who argue against the […]

What The Senate’s Apology For Slavery Really Means

You probably missed it, (I know I did), but the United States Senate issued a formal apology for slavery a few days ago. [Begin Sarcasm] Thank you Uncle Sam! This news made my Juneteenth shuckle buck all the more livelier, as I not only celebrated my ancestors learning of the 2 year old Emancipation Proclamation, but now the great-great-great grandsons of their slave masters unanimously concluded “My bad.” So now that the federal government has come clean after 144 years, I guess everything is all good. Break out the tea and crumpets, chicken and watermelon, gin and juice… celebration time Negroes! [End Sarcasm].

Make it Plain: Independent Afrikan Education

Another episode from our brethren, the Sons of Malcolm.  This speaks to a very important issue in our community.  Most of us don’t even realize how major this issue is, which just proves the point further.
